Great Places for Ski Holidays

If you would like to plan a ski trip, there are two places for great skiing and snowboarding with great prices. They both even have deals and packages if you are a last minute planner. They both even offer discounts for the two biggest ski holidays of the year: Christmas break and Spring break.

First is Fernie Alpine Resort, which offers nine ski holidays, is located in Canada. With a drastic 2,816 foot drop, Fernie provides 113 trails with nine lifts. Thirty percent of these trails are for beginners, forty percent are for intermediates, and thirty percent are for experts, which gives a fairly even distribution of the runs. The average annual snowfall is 29 feet so there is no need for artificial snow. They offer a Winter Sports School, which includes lessons in alpine, cross-country, and telemark skiing plus lessons on snowboarding. If skiing is not for you or a member of your group, Fernie Alpine Resort also has snowshoeing, dog sledding, snowmobiling, and sleigh riding.

Second on the list, Mont Tremblant, also offers nine ski holidays for those who enjoy skiing. Located in Quebec, Canada, Tremblant is home to a 2,116 foot drop with 14 lifts and 95 trails. The beginner trails account for seventeen percent, the intermediate trails account for thirty-three percent, and the expert trails account for fifty percent of the total runs. On average, snowfall equals thirteen feet annually. You can even snowboard at Tremblant! If you are in Canada, this is a fantastic place to practice any wintersports that you might intend on competing in. In addition to snowboarding and skiing, in the wintertime you can also participate in dogsledding, helicopter tours, ice-climbing, horseback riding, paintball, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and spas. They even have summertime activities also. A great place for all times of the year.
